Cards that become creatures still have summoning sickness right? | tcgmode

I got the 5 Commander Starter decks to start playing with friends. The 6 mana only makes it a creature for a turn. I’m pretty sure summoning sickness still applies so unless I got ways to apply haste. Even then it seems awfully expensive for a one turn effect.
