Where are the Legend, Champion supposed to go on this playmat? | tcgmode

Turn Em SIdeways has this mat coming out soon and the borders are confusing to me. There's a deck and trash as normal, rune bottom left, but middle left and right are presumably where the champion and legend go. But why? And am I even understanding this correct. I want a mat with score, but thes...
