Clarify on how this card works (Delirium) | tcgmode

Hello everyone, I just wanted to make sure I am understanding how this card works. For “that creature deals to the player an amount of damage equal to its power.”, is the player in this instance the controller of the creature, or the caster of Delirium? Thanks a ton!
