Why Would This Not Work Like With Renata Glasc's Blue Champion | tcgmode

I only saw one post on this, but the conclusion seemed to be that Heimerdinger would copy the battlefield restriction, unlike the case with Renata where the restriction is ignored. Is that correct? If so, why?
