Timing question | tcgmode

Hello I found Carrion and it made me think of my Chatterfang deck, could I, using the ability from Chatterfang give a creature lets say +20/-20 and then in response to that sac the creature to Carrion? Or the opposite? (So that I would create 20 maggots and 20 squirrel) or would one of the effect...
