My first two Pokemon cards - given to me on the playground many, many years ago. | tcgmode

I’m guessing this was sometime in 1999 - all the other kids had cards and I didn’t. One boy took pity and gave me these and it felt like I was holding gold. I remember how good I felt that day. Shortly after the school banned Pokemon Cards on the playground because it was “gambling”. lol
