Would dregs of sorrow force me to destroy my own creatures too? | tcgmode

In a playtest game with the new \[Witherbloom, the Balancer\], I managed to cast Dregs of sorrow with x=49. If my opponents only had, say, 20 creatures in total, would I then be forced to destroy 29 of my own creatures, or could I let it fizzle?
